So you might be getting some hints as to why Otari isn’t the nicest person in the world anymore. The question is, why is he telling Icari all this. He is really putting it all out there. Some people have speculated that it might be lies to indoctrinate Icari, but this is him truly opening up. So hopefully you’re wondering about his motivations.
I’m sure you are also wondering why in the world I’d be so harsh as to castrate the guy?!? I almost didn’t but referencing back to chapter 3, that was a real fear of Icari’s. Now you know he wasn’t just being hyperbolic, this is something they really do a punishment. These are a harsh people.
