250 pages everyone!
To be perfectly honest, I feel like I should be further along but I’m so happy to have made it this far! Thanks everyone for sticking with me.
In other news, I’ll be at Emerald City Comicon again this year. If you are in the Seattle area, stop by and visit me at the Monsterpedia booth, 1410, right next to Image and Dark Horse! Oh yeah!!!

This weeks page!
Hey Hominerds,
I got reviewed this week over at Comic Alternative. It’s really positive and they give a lot of great feedback on the website.
Give it a listen and let me know if you agree/disagree.
Q&A time!
I really appreciate everyone’s kind words of encouragement last week.
Nothing lifts a persons spirit like fans telling you they how they truly feel about your work and to not give up.
So let’s keep the discussion alive this week by having a Q&A.
Ask me anything you like. It can be Hominids related, career related, or it can be about my process. Whatever you think. For example, last week John asked:
“Ok I have to ask why was Gosh wearing sandals in the first chapter and after he loses them in the same page we never see him or any other tree dweller wear them.”
My answer:
“It’s a good question. Gosh has always been treated with special circumstances. But if you watch him through the entire series, he silently has the most growth. At the beginning he’s pretty much completely helpless, wears sandals, is carries around, and basically has to be constantly watched. Look at his behavior now and he is becoming much more confident and independent.”
So ask away, Hominerds!

*Super Update*
My apologies if you couldn’t see your comments the last few days.
There was a security issue that had to get worked out. It’s all fixed now, so thanks for your patience.
*UPDATE*
Hey guys.
I’m having some problems with the comments not posting. I’ve replied to everyone,
and there are new comments not posting too. I’m working on fixing the issue. Stay tuned.
I’m thinking I might end Hominids right after I reveal “the Creature”.
I’m a bit burnt out and besides a few loyal readers/comments (Thanks guys),
I’m at a bit of a loss as to whether the comic has any relevance or impact. Maybe I won’t go so extreme, but I’m considering cutting the story shorter and moving on. What do you do when you just aren’t reaching the audience level you were hoping?
What say you? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

So Chapter 9 truly starts this week.
Icari and Lye look to be in a tough predicament.
Hopefully Keyli can the others can get to them in time!

Also, please consider contributing my the Hominids Patreon. I’m $50 away from my first goal. If I reach it, I believe I can reach out to an even great readership. Below are some of the perks you’ll get from subscribing.

Hey gang,
Since I’m not taking any breaks between chapters, this week is a bit of a small post. In the past, I would post this first page with the larger second page. Unfortunately, I don’t really have the bandwidth for that this time around. I promise that this chapter is going to be worth the wait.

There you have it Hominerds!
A big reveal for what’s to come in Chapter 9. I can’t wait to get started and can’t wait for you guys to read it!

There we have it. Chapter 8 is all wrapped up.
Fear not though. I’ll be back next week with the cover for Chapter 9 and then we’ll be going right into it without any breaks.
See you next week!
