Our hero trio introduced.
Some early concepts of our main characters. After this drawing I realizedĀ I really wanted Sno to play a central role in the story.

So there we go. That’s the world. Now let’s get this show on the road.

Here is the rest of my childhood comic. Don’t worry, the actual comic is much better.

You might see a couple of these characters show up again.

These are all characters that will play rolls in the comic in one way or another, but they were also characters that came about as a kid. Check out this comic I did at 12. Looks a little similar.

Welcome to Hominids.
A comic I haveĀ had in my head since 1992 when I was just 11 years old. My best friend, Luke and I would run around our local park, which was more like a jungle then anything. Really, it was a beautiful place to grow up. If you ever get up to Bellingham, WA, make sure you stop by Whatcom Falls and do some cliff diving. So we would run around the park as these ‘Hominid’ characters and later go home and draw our adventures. Here are just a few of mine that I kept over the years:
It wasn’t until I was in my 30’s that I decided to make a comic and I wanted it be something that hearkened back to my childhood. With the blessing of Luke, I pursued making this comic. I hope you enjoy it.
