Icari’s father, Eetori wants to change the tide.
When people say everything happens for a reason,

what I think they really mean is there are consequences to everything that happens. For good or ill, Eetori had an idea after the battle in Chapter 4. Lye was just being creative to survive when she used a vine to slingshot a spear into the enemy, but it was something Eetori had never seen before. His imagination was sparked. It may seem like a trivial thing right now but this is going to be something to pay close attention to.

Icari has a revelation.

In this moment he’s gone from a polytheist to a monotheist.

Even though he disowned the other gods for the one in the cave, he never stopped believing in them. The idea never even occurred to him that it was an option that they might not exist. The creature in the cave however, is a whole other situation. It’s something tangible that he’s witnessed first hand.
Now how to free his friends…

It appears Icari is safe for the time being.

We’ve gotten our first taste of the High Priest. A few people have already voiced their disliking of him.

What do you think so far and what do you think the High Priests deal is?

I literally just finished this page!

It can be a bit stressful at times, to be running behind, scrambling to finish. It can also be hugely rewarding to instantly have the work you’ve done posted to the public. That said, this coming week is definitely going to be a catch up week for me.
In today’s page we finally meet the High Priest and get a little insight to his power. He asks Icari a big question. This question gives us an idea of the moral frameworks of the Mountain. What the High Priest says, goes. Icari threatened that when making claims that would have lessened his power. When banishing him, the High Priest basically gave him a death sentence. Much to his surprise this wasn’t the case.
More of this conversation continues next week so make sure not to miss out!

Welcome back everyone!

Sorry to make everyone wait for a new page.

I appreciate everyone’s patience while I could catch up on pages.

My wife and I are still traveling abroad…
…specifically in Rome visiting my sister.
We’re checking out great art, great food, and best of all great European comics! However I had to take a break and make sure the new page posted correctly.
Unfortunately next week I will definitely be late in posting a new page. I’ve used up my buffer and I’m not back to the States until Monday. I will keep you all posted and get that page up as soon as it’s finished.

I’m on vacation for the next two weeks.
I’ve spent most my summer crunching at my day job and as a result I’ve struggled a bit to get pages out consistently. Thankfully I haven’t missed a day yet but I was in serious need of a vacation. I will still have pages out on schedule for this week and next. The following week, I’m not so sure. If its late, it will only be a day or two and I’ll make sure you are all aware.
Bon Voyage Hominerds!

Greetings fellow Hominerds!

I’ve been looking forward to this page for some time now.
I feel like I have a lot to say about this page. For now, I’m going to let it speak for itself.

Hey friends, fans and Hominerds!

Sorry for the late blog entry this week.

I’ve spent the last several days climbing mountains, watching bears, jumping in freezing cold lakes, and eating freeze dried food. Toss in a couple cold brews and I had the perfect long weekend. Unfortunately I wasn’t hear to write my post, but at least I got the page out. That’s what really matters in the end anyways right?

So after many weeks of waiting we finally make it into the city and things seem bleak. The Mountain Dwellers seem to be living off the backs of a once greater people. We’re going to be seeing some more of what the city is like and what will happen to our friends.
Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend. I’ve been to these mountains before and they’re a huge inspiration for how the Mountain looks in Hominids.

We finally make it to the city.

This is a completely different world then what we are used to seeing in Hominids. I wanted the city to be the exact opposite of the jungle. A cold, dead, and isolated place. I’ll be spending some time with their introduction to the city so prepare for a few more pages where you’ll get a glimpse of what life is like within it.

See you next week and don’t forget to leave a comment.
